Blockchain & Cryptocurrency Con 2018 will be the very first, full-coverage, international conference in Texas dedicated to the blockchain technology. The host city will be Dallas, and it will take place from February twenty three – 24, 2018. It will be an chance for all involved in the arena, whether they are building Dapps and crypto-assets on blockchains, implementing DAOs, mining and trading cryptocurrencies, developing blockchain-based tokens and protocols, operating in the ICO spectrum, or involved on the regulatory side of things to come together to explore and exchange ideas around a technology that’s set to totally reshape how we interact and conduct business in the near future.

So in whatever capacity you’re interfacing with the blockchain technology, consider this Call For Papers (CFP) your invitation to participate.

And if you are a developer, hackathons are planned for Day one where you can participate in teams or code solo to build a decentralized application on your beloved blockchain protocol. There will also be a formal training class conducted by one of our developer training fucking partners.

CFP Description

Thank you for wanting to participate as a speaker at the Blockchain & Cryptocurrency Con 2018, which will take place in Dallas, Texas, from February twenty three – 24, 2018. To make it lighter for us to evaluate your subjugation, please take note of the following:

If your project has anything to do with the blockchain technology, whether it’s about DApps, DAOs, decentralized object storage, fintech, identity systems, supply chain solutions, wise contracts, IoT, ICOs, cryptocurrencies and tokens, etc, we’re all ears. Just make it engaging.

Your talk should not be an outright sales pitch for your company or its products. If you have something to promote, hardware or software, there will be slew of time for that in the exhibit hall.

What type of people are we expecting in the audience? All types – from those only interested in mining for Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, those writing the codes that make the entire thing work, to those on the regulatory side of the business.

Your proposed presentation should be no longer than twenty five minutes.

If you plan on conducting a workshop or sponsor a hackathon, that should be longer than sixty minutes.

All attendees, speakers, sponsors and volunteers at our conference are required to agree with the following code of conduct. Organizers will enforce this code via the event. We are expecting cooperation from all participants to help ensure a safe environment for everybody.

The Quick Version

Our conference is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference practice for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, bod size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or technology choices. We do not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not suitable for any conference venue, including talks, workshops, parties, Twitter and other online media. Conference participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the conference without a refund at the discretion of the conference organizers.

The Less Quick Version

Harassment includes offensive spoken comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, bod size, race, ethnicity, religion, technology choices, sexual photos in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.

Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to obey instantaneously.

Sponsors are also subject to the anti-harassment policy. In particular, sponsors should not use sexualized pictures, activities, or other material. Booth staff (including volunteers) should not use sexualized clothing/uniforms/costumes, or otherwise create a sexualized environment.

If a participant engages in harassing behavior, the conference organizers may take any act they deem adequate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the conference with no refund.

If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of conference staff instantaneously. At least one conference staff will be at the registration table at all times.

Conference staff will be glad to help participants contact hotel/venue security or local law enforcement, provide escorts, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the conference. We value your attendance.

We expect participants to go after these rules at conference and workshop venues and conference-related social events.
