Air Purification System
Are you looking for help with an air purification system? Systems built with regenerative thermal oxidizers or RTOs operate at higher efficiency. Furthermore, they are an incredibly cost-efficient solution for VOC reduction. Volatile organic compounds coincide with odorous air emissions, and they must be controlled.
Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer
An RTO’s primary role is the destruction of VOC contaminants in the exhaust. The thermal regenerative oxidizers function using combustion.
Remove Hazardous Air Polluntants or HAPs
Thermal oxidizers can obtain efficient emission destruction consistently. Since they operate at such a high temperature, they vaporize thermally reactive material. When it vaporizes a pollutant, it converts it into carbon dioxide and water. Moreover, the thermal energy cost is recovered, lowering operating costs.
High Thermal Energy Recovery
Since these machines get such high energy recovery, they are well suited for diverse applications. If you work in a plant with a low concentration of VOCs, this RTO would be suitable. A high waste stream flow rate guarantees the result will be beneficial. A typical RTO’s operating temperature ranges from 815 degrees Celsius to 980 degrees.
Operating a Thermal Oxidizer
At the start, VOC and HAP-laden gases enter the RTO. They must pass through an inlet manifold where valves meet. Then, they are directed into the energy recovery chambers and processed. The process gas and contaminants heat up on the ceramic media beds.
Once the process exhaust has been treated, hot purified air releases thermal energy. This exhaust is reabsorbed to furth curtail fuel usage.
